Century Arms C39v2 AK Pistol

In the world of AR pistols flooding the market, I decided to go a different route for my next truck gun.  In an AR pistol version I prefer something with a little more punch, like a supersonic .300 Blackout.  This thinking led me over to looking at an AK 47 pistol, specifically in its native 7.62x39mm cartridge.

Already had a full size C39v2 rifle in the inventory with a lot of rounds through it. Decided to give their pistol variant a try.  Love that they are made in the USA and also have a milled receiver.

Specs:
PRODUCT C39v2 Pistol
SKU HG3788-N
CALIBER 7.62x39mm
CAPACITY 30 rounds
BARREL 10.6″
WEIGHT 6.55 lbs (without brace)

Without the brace, the overall length is very nice compared to a same barrel length AR that requires a buffer tube on the rear.  I am a fan of braces on pistols though.  Mine has the SB brace / stabilizer but will be changing it out for a KAK one in the future, mainly to save some weight.  Century Arms does currently offer a C39v2 KAK Shockwave brace model.

Just like the C39v2 rifle, I had zero issues with the C39v2.  Shot through a mixture of Red Army Standard, brass, and random steel case ammunition.  All fed and fired perfectly.  Both models feature Magpul furniture with M-LOK slots for adding on accessories.  The C39v2 pistol makes a great truck / trunk and home protection gun.  Especially in areas that do not allow SBR rifles.  Same goes for states with limitations on loaded rifles in vehicles or with ammo placement restrictions during transport.  Most of those states do no place the same restrictions on pistol variants, especially with a carry permit.  An AK or AR pistol can help you in those situations (check your local laws of course).  The AK 47 packs more punch than an AR but can also find cheap plinking ammo for the range.

Definitely check them out if you are looking to move into a pistol or as an alternative to an SBR!
